Herald Coaster, March 14, 1963: Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Wieghat, 64, of Needville were held at 3:30 Tuesday, March 12, at the E. & R. Church in Needville. Mrs. Wieghat moved to Fort Bend Co. from Washington Co. in 1909. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1950. She was married to Wieghat in 1919. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Rosa Lee Barnes of Rosenberg, Mrs. Lillie Keeton of Houston, Mrs. Benita Walzel of Needville, and Mrs. Leona Griffith of Costa Mesa, Calif., one son, Lawrence Wieghat of Needville; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Albin Tielke, Willie Tielke, Erich Tielke, and Henry Tielke, all of Needville; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bremer and Mrs. Thelma Oberhoff of Needville. Rev. Ed Weltge officiated during the funeral rites. Burial was in the E. & R. Cemetery in Needville, under the direction of Garmany and Co. Funeral Directors. Pallbearers were Ernest Oberhoff, Bennie Tielke, Reinhardt Tielke, Raymond Tielke, Elgin Tielke, Bernhard Tielke, and Floyd Bremer.
