Texas Coaster, February 10, 1955: Mrs. Caroline Tielke passed away Tuesday, February 8, in Needville. Mrs. Tielke left Germany, where she was born in 1885, and landed in Galveston, Texas. She then moved from Washington county in 1909 and came to Fort Bend County, where she resided until her death. At the time of her death she was living with her son, Henry Tielke, in Needville. She had been living with her son for the past eight years. Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Tielke today, (Thursday) at 2:00 o'clock at the Immanuel Evangelical church in Needville. Interment will be at the Evangelical Church cemetery with the Rev. Wm. E. Scholze officiating. Pallbearers will be Reinhardt Tielke, Earnest Oberhoff, Leroy Tielke, Bernhardt Tielke, Bernie W. Tielke, Elgin Tielke, Walter Bremer and Lawrence Wieghat. Survivors are five sons Fritz Tielke, Willie Tielke, Albin Tielke, Erich Tielke, and Henry Tielke, all of Needville; three daughters, Mrs. Selma Oberhoff, Mrs. Martha Wieghat, and Mrs. Emma Bremer, all of Needville; 37 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren. Garmany-Janca directed.
