Herald Coaster, December 16, 2001: Funeral services for Emma Bremer, 94, of Needville, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville, with the Rev. Fred Banda officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Garmany and Carden Funeral Chapel in Needville. Mrs. Bremer died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at S.P.J.S.T. Rest Home in Needville. She was born July 28, 1907 in Brenham, Texas to William and Caroline Tielke. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker, and member of Immanual United Church of Christ. Her husband, Erich Bremer, preceded her in death, as well as two sons, Floyd and Walter Bremer. She is survived by one son, the Rev. Larry Bremer and wife, Gail, of Milwaukee, Wis.; daughter-in-law, Joyce Bremer of Needville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
