Funeral Rites Held Wednesday For Mrs. Bezdek Mrs. Marie Bezdek of West died at 6:45 p.m. Monday in a Waco hospital. She was 87. She would have been 88 on February 17. She left 114 immediate descendants. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Assumption, Msgr. I.J. Valenta officiated with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold-Moore Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Bezdek was a member of St. Ludmilla Altar Society and KJZT Lodge No. 11. She is survived by six sons; Vaclav Bezdek, Louis Bezdek, Frank Bezdek, and Joe Bezdek, all of West, Willie Bezdek of Baton Rouge, La., and Henry Bezdek of Alice; five daughters, Mrs. Mary Zatopek and Mrs. Annie Snapka, both of Abbott, Mrs. Agnes Soukup of West, and Mrs. Christine Knapek and Mrs. Sophie Snapka, both of Corpus Christi; three brothers, L.J. Sulak of Dallas, and Rudolph Sulak of West; one sister, Mrs. Bednar of Fort Worth; 38 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren.
