Mrs. Marie Sulak, Pioneer Resident, Dies Mrs. Marie Sulak, 85 years of age and a resident of West for a quarter of a century, died at her home here early Tuesday, November 13th. A native of Czecho-Slovakia, Mrs. Sulak had been a resident of the United States for 62 years and had lived in West during the past 25 years. Funeral services were held at the residence in the north part of town at 9:00 a.m. and at the Church of Assumption at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 14th, with Rev. R.J. Polcak officiating. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jim Maresh, M.J. Mazanec, I.F. Lednicky, J.A. Mashek, A. Nemecek and Jos. F. Junak. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Matt Cepak of West; Mrs. Joe Bezdek of West and Mrs. John Bednar of West; one sister, Mrs. Paul Sulak of this city; seven sons, Sylvester Sulak, Frank Sulak, L.J. Sulak of La Grange, Adolph Sulak of Hillsboro, Rudolph Sulak, Will and A.C. Sulak. Deceased leaves a host of friends among the young as well as the old to mourn her loss.
