Anton J. Sulak Claimed by Death Anton J. Sulak, age 76, pioneer resident of this section, died at his home near Rogers Hill at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1. Mr. Sulak had been seriously ill for several days, pneumonia being given as the cause of death. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday at the Catholic Church, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Born in Czechoslovakia, deceased came to the United States in 1872. For the past 45 years he had lived in the Rogers Hill community and was well known throughout this section. Survivors are the widow; 7 daughters, Mrs. E.A. Kolar and Mrs. Vernon Patterson of West, Mrs. John Kopecky of Bryan, Mrs. P.H. Rogers of Moody, Mrs. E.J. Sparks, Bruceville and Misses Martha and Celia Sulak, at home; 3 sons, Daniel J. Penelope, Albert J. of West, and August of San Antonio; 3 sisters, Mrs. Cecilia Cepak, Mrs. John Bednar and Mrs. Jim Bezdek, all of West; 6 brothers, Sylvester, Frank, Bill and Rudolph of Hillsboro, L.J. of La Grange; 15 grandchildren. J. Sulak, 73, of West, brother of State Senator L. J. Sulak of LaGrange, died at his residence Wednesday evening at 6:30 o’clock. He had lived in the West community for 45 years. Funeral services will be held from West Catholic church at 10 a.m. Friday, Rev. E. J. Polcak officiating, burial in Catholic cemetery.
