Mrs. A.C. (Agnes) Soukup, age 90, of West, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 1994 in a West hospital. Rosary will be recited 2:30 p.m. today (Thursday) in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:45 p.m. today in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Soukup was born January 25, 1904 at West and had lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11. She married A.C. Soukup on January 12, 1926 at West. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1992. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Cecil (Agnes Marie) Johnson of Ft. Worth; one son, A.C. Soukup, Jr. of Malakoff; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Annie Mae) Snapka of West and Mrs. Roman (Sophie) Snapka of Corpus Christi; and five grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Michael Piscacek, Eugene Rejcek, Jerry Bezdek, Sammy Soukup, Ben E. Kapczynski and Alfred Snapka. Kotch Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
