Funeral Rites For Mrs. Marak To Be Saturday Mrs. Elizabeth Marak of West died early Thursday morning, April 2, in a Hillsboro hospital following a short illness. She was 76. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, at 9:30 a.m. at the West Catholic Church of the Assumption. Rev. James Quilter will officiate with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Kotch Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Marak was the former Elizabeth Gerik. She was born and reared in West and had lived here all her life. She was a member of the Catholic Church in West, KJZT Society, Altar Society and Rosary Society. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Irene Jezek and Mrs. Louise Jezek, both of West, Mrs. Wilma Olson of Houston, and Mrs. Mary Lee Simcik of Waco; three sons, Ray Marak of West, Johnny Marak of Arlington, and Eddie Marak of Irving; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Karlik, Mrs. Mary Cocek and Mrs. Rosie Lednicky, all of West, and Mrs. Emily Kallus of Abbott; three brothers, Joe Gerik and Frank Gerik, both of West, and Jim Gerik of Waco; twenty-two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
