Lud Gerik, of LaSalle Dies; Rites Held Wed. Mr. Lud Gerik died Monday morning in LaSalle after suffering a stroke on Friday. He was 73 years old. Funeral services were held in the Catholic Church in LaSalle Wednesday morning. Survivors are: his wife; two sons, Leonard Gerik of Kingsville, and Robert Gerik of New York; one daughter, Mrs. Henry Kolar of LaSalle; three brothers, J.A. Gerik and Frank Gerik of West, and Jim Gerik of Waco; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Karlik, Mrs. Ed Marak, Mrs. George Lednicky and Mrs. Eugene Cocek of West, and Mrs. Louis Kallus of Abbott; 13 grandchildren. Those from this community that attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Seith, Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Berger, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Gerik, Mr. and Mrs. F.G. Gerik, Mrs. Eugene Cocek, Mrs. Rosie Lednicky, Mrs. John Macicek, Mrs. Mike Kramolis, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Milberger, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kallus and Jerome, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gerik from Waco.
