Edmond M. Marak to Be Buried Here Today Edmond M. Marak, age 62, prominent farmer ofr Route 1, West, passed away at 1 p.m. Wednesday at a Waco hospital. Mr. Marak had recently submitted to an operation, returning to his home here from a Waco hospital on Sunday. He was thought to be improving, and was to return to Waco on Wednesday for a routine checkup. It is reported that he became critically ill enroute to Waco and died shortly after reaching the hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Catholic Church at West with Father E.J. Polcak officiating. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery here. Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold's Chapel. Mr. Marak was born in this community and had lived here all his life. He was an active community leader and had served as a member of the West school board for a number of years. He was president of the local K.J.T. lodge and secretary of the local Catholic Workmen. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Marak; three sons, Johnnie Marak, Eddie Marak and Raymond Marak, all of West; four daughters, Mrs. Joe Jezek of West, Mrs. George Jezek of West, Mrs. John C.
