Funeral Services for Method Hejl Sunday Method Hejl, 49 years of age, died Friday, March 29th, from injuries received in an automobile accident last week near Round Rock, Texas. According to the information received here, a tire blew out, causing the driver to lose control of the car, which smashed into a bridge. Mr. Hejl and his sister, Mrs. Mat. Sinkule were injured and were taken to a Georgetown sanitarium, where Mr. Hejl died. Mrs. Sinkule is reported to be improving. The deceased was born in Czechoslovakia, on May 20, 1885. He came to Texas about 27 years ago and settled near West, where he had resided since. He was a well-known and highly respected citizen of this community. Funeral services were held from the residence of Mrs. Antonia Hejl at 2:30 p.m. and at the Church of the Assumption at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 1935, with Father E. J. Polcak officiating. The interment was at the Catholic Cemetery near West. Survivors are his widow; Mrs. Rosie Hejl; nine children, Emil, John, Agnes, Willie May, Martha, Georgia, Mary, Albina, and Dorothy Hejl, all of West; seven sisters, Mrs. Mat. Sinkule, Mrs. Joseph Jaska, Mrs. John Novak, Mrs. Adolph Marek, Mrs. Henry Nors, Miss Matilda Hejl of West, and Mrs. Joe Chudej of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Anton Hejl of West and John Hejl of Ross; his mother, Mrs. Antonia Hejl of West. A large crowd attended the funeral and many beautiful floral offerings attested in a small way to the love and esteem in which the deceased was held.
