Bio
Martha C. Hejl, age 94, of Ft. Worth, formerly of West, passed away Saturday January 14, 2017 at Stonegate Nursing Center in Ft. Worth. A rosary will be recited and Memorial Services held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Martha's cremains will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery near Penelope. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Martha was born June 3, 1922 in West, the daughter of Method C. and Ruzena "Rosie" (Kolar) Hejl. She grew up on the family farm with her eight siblings. She attended the old Brooken School near Penelope. Martha was an office manager for Stripling's Department Store in Ft. Worth for many years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Patrick's Cathedral Catholic Church in Ft. Worth. Martha is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emil Hejl, John Hejl and Laddie Hejl; and sisters, Georgie Macik, Albina Jaska, Mary Ann Jaska, Willie Mae Becan and Agnes Hejl.
