Stevenson, a well known citizen of Bond town, died at his home one mile northeast of Birds, Monday afternoon at 3:30 following an illness of about a year, several months of which were spent in bed. Stomach trouble was the cause of death. Funeral services are being held this afternoon at Otterbein chapel. Deceased was 73 years, 8 months and 1 7 days old and had lived in Bond Town for 52 years. He was twice married, both wives preceding him in death. He is survived by nine children, namely, Henry S Stevenson and Mrs. Allie Piper, of Hammond, Ind.; Fred Stevenson and Mrs Iona Etzwiller, of Pinkstaff; Charles, of Birds; Floyd, of Lawrenceville; Ira, of Little Rock, Ark; Mrs Stella Greer and Mrs Beedle Longenecker, of Petrolla." Stevenson and the list includes Fred Stevenson, Charles R. Stevenson, Floyd Stevenson, Allie Piper, Iona R. Etzwiler, Henry Stevenson, Stella Greer, Bede Longnecker, and Ira Stevenson. It states in the record that George W. Stevenson departed this life on or about 11 May 1925. The next entry says Floyd Stevenson is the father of Marlin Stevenson (minor) and Marlin has $100 interest in life insurance policy of George W. Stevenson deceased.
