Bio

There is a rectangular burial plot with four square marker stones. Three of the stones read C.S. The fourth marker appears to have no writing but it may have wore off and read C.S. before. One child Stevenson stone is on the perimeter showing the S on the burial plot markers is for Stevenson. Robinson Constitution Wed, 18 Jun 1902 Pg 5 "A small child of Chris Stevenson died Thursday and was buried at St Paul Friday." Lawrence County News, IL on Thu, 29 Dec 1932 Pg 3 "Clarence and Felix Stevens(on) were at the Albert Stevenson home in Russellville to see their uncle, Chris Stevenson who died Saturday. He was buried at St Paul, Monday." The Vincennes Sun Commercial IN Sun, 25 Dec 1932 Page Two "AGED RESIDENT TAKEN BY DEATH LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill., Dec 24 Christopher C Stephenson, 78, died at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the home of his son, Arthur Stephenson, in Russell township. Death resulted from the infirmities of old age. The funeral arrangements are incomplete but the services will be held some time Monday from the St Paul church in Russell."
