Dec 10- Ira Stevenson, 55, formerly of Lawrence County, died at 3 p.m., Tuesday at a hospital in Hammond, Ind., where he has lived for the last ten years since moving from Lawrenceville. He was born near Birds. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Waters and Lola both of Hammond; three sisters Mrs. Iona Etzwiler of Lawrenceville, Mrs. Jake Greer of Petrolia, Ill., and Mrs. Harry Longnecker of Lawrenceville; a brother, Floyd Stevenson of Lawrenceville; a half-sister Mrs. Allie Piper of Hammond, and three half-brothers, Fred Stevenson of Pinkstaff, Harry Stevenson of Little Rock, Ark., and Charles Schaffer of Terre Haute. The body will be returned Thursday to Lawrence County for burial in the Derr cemetery. Further funeral arrangements are not yet been settled."
