Bio

Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Marak, 90, of West died Tuesday at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Monsignor George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption. Mrs. Marak was born Jan. 10, 1894, in Fayette County. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and KJZT No. 11. She was married to Frank Marak in 1913. He died in 1963. Survivors include five daughters, Edith Sulak of Arlington and Mrs. Bernard (Evelyn) Vrbas, Mrs. Willie (Henrietta) Snokhous, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Klish and Mrs. Charles (Rose) Kubacak, all of West; seven sons, Arthur Marak, Alford Marak and Harry Marak, all of West, Frankie Marak and Robert (Bob) Marak, both of Abbott, Raymond Marak of Ennis and Stanley Marak of Greenville; two sisters, Albina Gerik of West and Sophie Macicek of Galveston; a brother, Emil Gerik of Aquilla; 45 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
