Bio

Miss Albina (Bena) Gerik, 90, of 300 Haven died Friday morning, July 22, 1988 at her residence. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, with Msgr. Ray Widacki as Celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Miss Gerik was born January 29, 1898, in Fayette County. She had lived the past 86 years in West. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar-Rosary Society and KJZT Society No. 11. Survivors include a sister, Sophie Macicek of Galveston and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Harry Marak, Frankie E. Marak, Daniel Gerik, Marvin Gerik, Jerry Gerik and Edwin Kostka.
