Mrs. Rosalie Gerik Dies on Saturday Mrs. Rosalie Gerik, age 88, passed away at her home near here at 11 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Interment was at the Catholic cemetery. Survivors are five sons, John, Anton, E.J. and W.M., all of West; J.T. of Pep, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Kostka of Wharton, Mrs. Louis Macicek of Galveston, Mrs. F.J. Marak of Abbott, Albina Gerik of West; 53 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 57, No. 8, Edition 1, Friday, July 12, 1946, page 1.
