Herald Coaster, May 31, 1976: Funeral services for Gus E. Nawara Sr., 67, of Needville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist Church in Needville, with Rev. Robert B. Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loyline Nawara of Needville; daughter, Mrs. JoAnn Parr of Needville; son, Gus Jr. of Needville; three brothers, Johnny of Needville, Louis of Damon, and Henry of Rosenberg; sister, Mrs. Mattie Revia of Kingsville; and four grandchildren. Friends may call by the Garmany and Co. Needville chapel after 4:30 p.m. Monday.
