Herald Coaster, September 28, 1998: Funeral services for Henry O. Nawara, 87, of Rosenberg, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. V. George Brookover will officiate the services. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. (FM 2218 and Highway 59) in Rosenberg. Mr. Nawara was born on Oct. 9, 1910 in Needville to John Nawara and Johanna Glenz Nawara, and he passed away on Sept. 27, 1998 in Rosenberg. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and Sons of Hermann. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elsie M. Nawara; great-grandchildren, Reagan Lynn Laskoskie; parents, John and Johanna Nawara; sisters, Louise Stremple, Annie Krietz, Mattie Revia, and Hattie Nichter; and brothers, Tom, Ed, Louis, Frank, Johnnie, and Gus Nawara. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Laskoskie and her husband, Bob, of Fredericksburg; a son, John "Butch" Nawara and his wife, Sue, of Rosenberg; grandchildren, Royce Laskoskie and his wife, Lindy, of Fredericksburg, Rhett Laskoskie of Fredericksburg, Reana Karrick and David Besier Sr. of Fredericksburg, Chance Nawara of Austin, and Chase Nawara of Rosenberg; great-grandchildren, Brandi Laskoskie, Mindi Laskoskie, Amber Kerrick, Kayla Besier, Deana Besier, and Davis Besier Jr., all of Fredericksburg; and step-great-grandchildren, Michael and Megan Taliferra of Fredericksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. 281-341-8800.
