Bio

Herald Coaster, January 29, 1959: Final rites were held Tuesday afternoon from the E&R Church, Needville, for Mrs. Meta Bettin, 76, Rev. Ed Weltge officiated. Mrs. Bettin came to Fort Bend County in 1907 from Washington County. She was born in Hanover, Germany. She is survived by her husband, Paul Bettin of Needville; six sons, Louis, Paul Jr., Edwin, Herbert, Nelson; and four daughters, Mrs. Ella Mesecke, Mrs. Minnie Oaks, Mrs. Lillie Shefeik, and Mrs. Nell Rose Garrett; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, John Kueck and Klaus Kueck. Interment was held in the Needville Public Cemetery under the direction of Garmany-Janca Funeral Home.
