Bio

Herald Coaster, May 22, 1988: Funeral services for Herbert Bettin, Sr., 68, of Needville, were scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel United Church of Christ with the Rev. George Kuebler officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Bettin died Friday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bettin was born June 30, 1919. He was a member of the Hermann Sons Lodge and Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Herbert Bettin, Sr., of Needville; a daughter, Frances Muenster of Houston; a son, Herbert Bettin Jr., of Rosenberg; four grandchildren, Mitchell and Matthew Bettin, and Charles and Christine Muenster; a brother, Paul Bettin Jr., of Rosenberg; three sisters, Ella Mesecke of Needville, Minnie Oakes of Rosenberg, and Nell Rose Garrett. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Church of Christ. Services are under the direction of the Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Needville.
