Bio

Herald Coaster, August 18, 1968: Funeral services for Louis C. Bettin, 66, of Needville, were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville, with Rev. Ed H. Weitge officiating. Burial was in the Needville Public Cemetery. Mr. Bettin died at his home Thursday afternoon. He was a member of the Needville American Legion Post. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Ella Mesecke of Needville, Mrs. Minnie Oakes of Rosenberg, Mrs. Lillie Schfcik of Edna, and Mrs. Nell Rose Garrett of Corpus Christi; and four brothers, Paul Bettin Jr. of Rosenberg and Herbert Bettin, Nelson Bettin, and Melvin Bettin, all of Needville.
