Bio
Services for Norma L. Jorgensen, 83, of Fairmont will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, Fairmont. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Fairmont. Jorgensen died Thursday morning, Jan. 14, 1999, at Fairmont Community Hospital, Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to services at the church. Norma Lula Wegner, daughter of Frank and Emma (Werling) Wegner, was born July 7, 1915 near Armstrong, Iowa. She attended country school near Armstrong. She married Carl Chris Jorgensen on March 7, 1935, in Armstrong. They farmed near Armstrong until 1939, when they moved to Tenhassen Township, Martin County, and farmed until retiring in 1968. After retiring, they continued to live on the farm and spent their winters in Florida. He died in March 1976 and in the fall she moved into Fairmont. On July 13, 1992, she entered Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center, Fairmont. On July 24, 1998, she moved to Valley Vue Care Center, Armstrong. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and its Circle, and a member of the Merry Makers Club. Survivors include: daughters, Patricia Holz and husband, Lawrence, formerly of rural Sherburn, and Virginia Heinrich and husband, Lester, of Andover, Kan.; sons, Larry Jorgensen of Swea City and Richard Jorgensen and wife, Kathy, of Fairmont; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Borowiak, Fern Nawrocki, Florence Pytleski and husband, Roman, Lillian Johnson and husband, Irvin, and Jean Sathoff, all of Fairmont, Arlene Wagner, Gladys Mart and husband, Clinton, and Velda Sathoff and Dorothy Johnson, all of Armstrong; brothers, Robert and Donald Wegner, both of Armstrong; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one step-daughter, one grandson, one great-grandson, one sister and two brothers. (48060184)
