Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Wegner, 74, will be Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran church in Armstrong with the Rev. Carl Klein officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove cemetery. Mrs. Wegner died Tuesday at Holy Family hospital, Estherville, as the result of a stroke and complications. She had been in failing health for the past five years. Born Emma Sophia Werling February 22, 1893 at LuVerne, Iowa, her parents were George and Emma Werling. She received her schooling at Wilbert, Minn. She was married December 7, 1910 and they farmed north of Armstrong throughout their married their married life. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul's church in Wilbert and was a member of the Armstrong Nazareth Lutheran church. Survivors include four sons: Earl Wegner of Elmore, Minn., Robert Wegner of Fairmont and Donald and Clyde at the home farm; 11 daughters: Mrs. Luella Hansen, Mrs. Carl (Norma) Jorgensen, Mrs. Sylvester (Pearl) Borowiak, Mrs. Phil (Fern) Nawrocki, Mrs. Roman (Florence) Pyletski and Mrs. Edward (Jean) Sathoff, all of Fairmont; Mrs. John (Arlene) Wegener of Fenton, Mrs. Clinton (Gladys) Mart, Mrs. Edwin (Velda) Sathoff and Mrs. Jerry (Dorothy) Johnson of Armstrong and Mrs. Irvin (Lillian) Johnson of Swea City. Also 58 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; six brothers: Elmer and Albert Werling of Goldfield, Ernest of Renwick, William of Badger, George of LaMirada, Calif., and Carl of Humboldt; and two sisters: Mrs. Albert Madison of Wallingford and Mrs. Robert Blumer of Livermore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and four sisters. (48060184)
