Bio

Service for Mrs. Luella Hansen, 74, of Fairmont will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont with burial in Armstrong Grove Cemetery in Armstrong, Iowa. Mrs. Hansen died Saturday evening at the Fairmont Community Hospital. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today and 8-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to service at the church. Luella Wegner was born March 14, 1911, near Armstrong. She attended country school near Armstrong. She married John Hansen April 2, 1930 in Iowa. Her husband died in 1959. She was employed at Hirts Potato Farm from the early 1950s until 1961. She worked as a nurse's aide in Valley View Nursing Home in Armstrong from 1961-1965. She then moved to Fairmont where she was employed as a nurse's aide at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center. She retired in 1982. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxillary. Survivors include one son, Ronald of Dolliver, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Donna) Haase of Burt, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Wegner and Donald Wegner, both of Armstrong; 10 sisters, Mrs. Norma Jorgensen, Mrs. Pearl Borowiak, Mrs. Phil (Fern) Nawrocki, Mrs. Roman (Florence) Pytleski, Mrs. Edward (Jean) Sathoff, all of Fairmont, Mrs. John (Arlene) Wegener, Mrs. Clinton (Gladys) Mart, Mrs. Edwin (Velda) Sathoff, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, all of Armstrong, Mrs. Irvin (Lillian) Johnson of Swea City, Iowa.
