Herald Coaster, November 12, 1993: Funeral services for Agnes Drabek Kveton, 88, of Richmond, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. Burial will be at West Gethsemane Cemetery. A vigil service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at Davis Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (U.S. 59 and FM 2218) in Rosenberg. Her grandson, the Rev. Howard E. Drabek, will officiate the services. Agnes Drabek Kveton was born Feb. 14, 1905 in Czechoslovakia. She died Nov. 10 in Rosenberg. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the KJZT, and the Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Louis Drabek; by her husband, Otto Kveton; by her parents, George and Anna Hajdik; a brother, Johnny Hajdik; sisters, Cecilia David and Francis Chovanec; and a great-grandson, Adam Drabek. Survivors include the children of Louis Drabek, Willie Drabek and his wife, Ella Mae, of Richmond, Annie Lee Poncik of Richmond, Jerry Drabek and his wife, Annie, of Houston, Edmund Drabek and his wife, Mary, of Indiana, Sidonia Sliva and her husband, Gilbert, of Richmond, Alfonce Drabek and his wife, Rose, of Rosenberg, and Agnes Sydow and her husband, Alton, of Richmond; six sisters, Mary David, Rosalie Antrich, Ann Polak, Lillian Macha, Tillie Grigar, and Georgie Krejci; a brother, Joe Hajdik; 26 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the Holy Rosary School Endowment Fund or to the Holy Rosary Library Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
