Fort Bend Herald, February 11, 2020: Annie Ludmilla Poncik, 90, passed away February 9, 2020 in Houston. She was born July 25, 1929 in Richmond to Louis and Agnes (Hajdik) Drabek. Annie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, KJZT and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pleak Fire Department. She was a gardener, a quilter, excellent cook and attended all of her grandchildren’s activities. She volunteered to help for many events. Annie retired as a seamstress from the Richmond State School. Survivors include 5 children, Judy Hardin and husband, David, Brenda Zwahr and husband, Calvin, Wanda Poncik and husband, Joe Welsh, Donna Brewer and husband, Tim, Daryl Poncik and wife, Karen; siblings, Willie Drabek and wife, Ella, Jerry Drabek and wife, Annie, Sidonia Sliva and husband, Gilbert, Agnes Sydow and husband, Alton, Alfonce Drabek; sister-in-law, Josephine Kovar; 8 grandchildren, Joey Hardin, Jill Hardin Cantu and husband, Juan, Victoria Zwahr, LeeAnn Zwahr, Katelyn Zwahr, Richard Brewer, Jenifer Brewer, and Keith Brewer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jody Poncik; and her brother, Edmund Drabek. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with burial to follow in West Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery in Rosenberg. Visitation will be Thursday evening, February 9, 2020 from 4-8 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral home with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
