Bio

Mr. A.C. Soukup, age 89, of West, passed away Sunday evening, May 10, 1992 in a West hospital. Rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, by Msgr. George Doskocil, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West, with Rev. Ed Karasek, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Soukup was born October 10, 1902 in West and had lived there all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he was the custodian for the church and school for a number years. Mr. Soukup was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2305 of West since 1923. He married Agnes Bezdek January 12, 1926 in West. Survivors include his wife of West; one son, A.C. Soukup, Jr. of Malakoff; one daughter, Mrs. Cecil F. Johnson of Fort Worth; four brothers, Ben, Emil, Jim and Walter Soukup all of West; four sisters, Annie Kapczynski, Martha Rejcek, Sophie Piscacek and Lucille Soukup all of West; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wesley Sulak, Emil Fridel, Eugene Horak, Ronnie Sykora, Frankie Muehlstein and Eugene Hosek. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Knights of Columbus Council #2305.
