Vince Hykel Of West Dies Vince Hykel, 85, of West died Saturday morning in a West hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 Sunday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, Rev. William Benish as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Hykel was born in West and lived in the West-Abbott area all his life. He was a retired farmer and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Annastacia Hykel; five sons, Jimmy Hykel of Abbott, Cyril Hykel of Houston, Johnny Hykel of Everett, Wash., William Hykel of Elm Mott and Tony Hykel of Irving; and three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Lillie) Schroeder of West, Mrs. George (Magdalene) Gajdica of Dallas and Mrs. Jimmy (Mary Lou) Clawson of Everett, Wash. Other survivors are three brothers, Louis Hykel of Abbott, Joe Hykel of Galveston and Ed Hykel of West; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Machovsky and Mrs. Julie Hrabal, both of West, Mfrs. Carrie Janek and Mrs. Lillian Kudelka, both of Galveston; 38 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
