Mrs. Alfons (Julia) Hraval, Sr., 77, of 300 Haven St. in West, formerly of Tours, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 1987 at her residence. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, 1987 at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin's Catholic Church at Tours, the Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Mrs. Hrabal was born May 20, 1909 near West. She lived in the West-Tours area all her life. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church of Tours, the Catholic Daughters of American court 829 of West and SPJST Lodge No. 6. She was married to Alfons Hrabal Nov. 8, 1927, at West; he died Nov. 27, 1977. Survivors include two sons, Eugene Hrabal of Mooreville and Edward Ray Hrabal of Route 2, West; three daughters, Georgie Soukup of Robinson, Angeline Grooms of Las Vegas, Nev., and Irene Reeves of Duncanville; a brother, Joe Hykel of Galveston; two sisters, Carolyn Janek and Lillian Kudelka, both of Galveston; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Chris Hrabal, Stephen Hrabal, Vince Hrabal, Richard Soukup, Mark Kocian and Don Reeves, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Hrabal, Jr., Tim Hrabal, Bryan Hrabal, Larry Kocian, Walter Kocian and Eddie Kocian.
