Bio

West - Frank Uptmore Sr. of West, formerly of Tours , died early Wednesday morning in a West nursing home. He was 89. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Tours , the Rev. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Martin 's Cemetery. Mr. Uptmore was born near Tours and lived in the Tours area all of his life. He was a retired farmer, rancher and cattle buyer. He was a member of the St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours . His wife, Mrs. Sophie Uptmore, died March 11, 1978. Survivors include two sons, Ernest Uptmore and Frankie Lee Uptmore, both of West; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Lucien and Mrs. Ernest (Gertrude) Barton, both of Dallas, Mrs. Felix (Hattie) Mynar of West and Mrs. Raymond (Adeline) Finn of Bellmead; a sister, Mrs. Joe Grellhesl of West; a brother, Jim Uptmore of Bellmead; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
