Bio

Adeline (Uptmore) Finn, age 89, went to be with her Lord on October 7, 2016 and was reunited with her husband on their 72nd anniversary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October, 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Albert Ruiz as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin Catholic Cemetery in Tours. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, at the funeral home with visitation to follow. Adeline was born February 12, 1927 in Tours, Texas to Frank L. and Sophie (Seith) Uptmore. She married Raymond Arthur Finn on October 8, 1944 and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2012. Adeline and Raymond were lifelong members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. They were one of the hard working families that contributed to the startup of the church in the 1950's. She and Raymond were also charter members of Geneva Hall and volunteered for many years. She enjoyed many travels, especially going to casinos. Adeline was an avid fan of the Baylor Bears. She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings, Louise Lucien, Gertrude Barton, Hattie Mynar, Ernest Uptmore and Frank Lee Uptmore; and an infant son. Survivors include her son, Donald Finn and wife, Lucy of Robinson; daughters, Darlene Schneider and husband, John of Beeville, Gail Sinkule and Sherrie Finn, both of Waco; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
