L. E. Uptmore Dies On Tuesday Louis E. Uptmore, 53, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday in a Waco hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church at Tours, Father J. T. Geiser officiating, burial in St. Martin's Cemetery. Mr. Uptmore was born in McLennan County and had lived in this section all his life. For many years he had operated a farm in the Tours community. Survivors are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Chudej of West, Misses Bernice, Catherine and Marjorie Uptmore, of West; two sons, Clement of Axtell and Andrew J. Uptmore of West; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Willenborg, Mrs. Joe A. Schroeder and Mrs. Lizzie Grellhesl, al of West, Rt. 2; five brothers, John, Frank and Ben of West, Tom and Jim of Waco.
