Mrs. F. Uptmore, Age 86, Dies Mrs. Frank (Sophie) Uptmore, 86, of West died Saturday, March 11, 1978, morning at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin’s Catholic Church at Tours, the Rev. Frank Miller as celebrant. Burial was at St. Martin’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Kotch Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Uptmore was born near Tours, and she had lived all of her life in the Tours area. She was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth’s Society. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ernest Uptmore and Frankie Lee Uptmore, both of West; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Lucien and Mrs. Ernest (Gertrude) Barton, both of Dallas, Mrs. Felix (Hattie) Mynar of West and Mrs. Raymond (Adeline) Finn of 2502 Brame; three sisters, Mrs. John (Mary) Uptmore of Waco, Mrs. Rose Schroeder of Windthorst and Mrs. Annie Weimmer of Munson; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Bill Barton, Felix Mynar, Jr., Jimmy Uptmore, Ernest (Inky) Uptmore, Donald Finn, and Gary Hlavaty.
