Well-Known Farmer Of Leroy Community Dies LEROY, Texas, Dec. 1--Funeral services of B. F. Uptmore, well-known farmer of this community, followed by burial at the Catholic cemetery, were held here at 9 o'clock this morning. Death occurred Sunday after an illness of almost a year. Mr. Uptmore had lived in this section for some 45 years. He was born in Illinois but came to Texas when a small boy. Father Preaker of Leroy officiated at the funeral services. Besides his wife, Mr. Uptmore is survived by six sons, John, F.L., Louie, Bennie, Tom and Edward Uptmore, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Wimberg, Mrs. Maggie Schroeder and Miss Lizzie Uptmore--all of whom live in the Leroy community.
