Bio

Born the son of Joseph DeKalb Mathis (1839 - 1905) and Martha Jane Gaston Mathis(1846 - 1899), he married 22 Dec 1906 in Upshur Co., Texas to Nona Mayberry (1884 - 1959). He was a public school teacher in the Tyler School Systems most of his life.
