Gaston (1810 – 1881) and Mary Ann Malone Gaston (1821 – 1870), she married on 30 Mar 1865 to Joseph DeKalb Mathis (1839 – 1905) and their children were William Henry Mathis (1866 – 1935), John Thomas Mathis (1868 – 1916), Ora Lee Mathis (1870 – 1945), George Burton Mathis (1872 – 1874), Mary Louella Mathis (1874 – 1932), Joseph Emmett Mathis (1876 – 1918), James Hardy Mathis (1878 – 1941), Walter Lewis Mathis (1880 – 1932), Franklin Monroe Mathis (1883 – 1964), and Robert Randolph Mathis (1885 – 1973).
