Child #11 of the 12 surviving children of Adolph Domel and Selma Kalmbach. Sometimes spelled "Elisabeth." Elizabeth and her husband John Marak were the parents of the following children: Connie, Shirley Jean (m. Williams), Baby Girl Marak, Stanley, Brian Douglas [Sr], Carol Ann (m. 1st Pepper, 2nd Hjornevik), and Susan Beth (m. Sohns). ________________________ Elizabeth Elvia Domel Marak February 15, 1922 - July 1, 2013 Elizabeth Elvia (Domel) Marak was born on February 15, 1922 in Walburg, Texas to Adolph Sr. and Selma (Kalmbach) Domel. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas. She passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013 in Georgetown at the age of 91. She married John Marak at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg on December 5, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her son Brian in 2007. Additionally, she was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. Elizabeth was a housewife and farmer. She found joy in her church, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and reading the bible. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Connie Marak of Austin, Texas, Shirley Williams of Georgetown, Texas, Stanley Marak of Walburg, Texas, Carol Hjornevik of Austin, Texas and Susan Sohns and her husband Richard of Round Rock, Texas; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Pallbearers are Larry Todd, Richard Sohns, Jerid Sizemore, Rich Sohns, John Marak, Xan Hjornevik, Brian Marak, Jr. and Quincy Wade. The visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Cook Walden Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. The funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10 am with Pastor John Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
