Bio
George was the son of Adolph Domel and Selma Kalmbach. He was the 10th of their 12 children who lived to adulthood, and the youngest of the boys. His middle name is shown both "Ewalt" and "Edward" depending on the document. George married Elizabeth Frieda Richter 19 Nov 1944 in Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg TX. They had two children, Larry ("Dobie") and Linda. They lived west of Theon on County Road 144 and later north of Georgetown on US Highway 81 where they worked at the Johnsonville Service Station. The station owner erected a sign designating the southern section of the Johnsonville station as "Domelville." George also worked as the janitor for Southwestern University's Fine Arts Building and Elizabeth cleaned the girls' dormitory. Elizabeth worked for many years at Nickerson Farms until it closed and then at Pecan Ridge Farms where she sold pecans and made candy.
