Bio

Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry Traugott Richter and Erna Ida Vogler. Elizabeth Frieda Richter and George Domel married on 19 Nov 1944 in Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg TX. They had two children, Larry ("Dobie") and Linda. They lived west of Theon on County Road 144 and later north of Georgetown on US Highway 81 where they worked at the Johnsonville Service Station. The station owner erected a sign designating the southern section of the Johnsonville station as "Domelville." George also worked as the janitor for Southwestern University's Fine Arts Building and Elizabeth cleaned the girls' dormitory. Elizabeth worked for many years at Nickerson Farms until it closed and then at Pecan Ridge Farms where she sold pecans and made candy. She worked for Walburg State Bank for a number of years until she passed away in 1998. [Source: The Domels of Texas by Linda N.
