Herald Coaster, March 31, 1996: Funeral services for Elsie M. Nawara, 82, of Rosenberg, will be held Monday, April 1, 1996, at 2:30 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. Don Kolkmeier will officiate. She was born May 22, 1913 in Fort Bend County, Texas to John Miller and Martha Zwahr Miller. She passed away March 30, 1996 in Rosenberg, Texas. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and Sons of Hermann. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Miller, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry Nawara of Rosenberg. She is also survived by daughter, Jeanette Laskoskie and husband, Bob, of Fredericksburg; sons, Butch Nawara and wife, Sue, of Rosenberg; five sisters; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ. Friends may call after noon Sunday in Stateroom 2 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 & U.S. 59) in Rosenberg. 341-8800.
