Obit-Gonzales Inquirer June 2, 1961 Funeral Services Set Saturday For Mrs. Graves Funeral services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. from the Memorial Heights Baptist church on College street for Mrs. Mae Candy Graves, who died in the Sievers Convalescent home at 3 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Oscar Thompson, pastor, will officiate at the finial rites with buriato follow in the. It's cemetery. He body will be brought to the church this afternoon about 2:30 o'clock from the funeral home in Shiner, to remain over night for the Saturday services. Mrs. Graves was born on May 10, 1883, in Harwood to W. H. and Sybil McCarty Cady. She was married to Charles Graves who preceded her in death on January 1, 1953. Survivors include two children, a son, Drew Graves of San Antonio, a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Kelly of Brazoria; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. R. P. Smith of Luling; Mrs. Roy Benton, Mrs. Eddie Denman, Mrs. William Cleveland, all of Gonzales; and Mrs. Will Spencer of Bay City.
