Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Dec. 15, 1955 J. L. Cady Burial Service on Friday Last rites will be held here Fridayat 11 a.m. for J. L. Cady former Gonzales resident, who died Wednesday in Kingsville. Grave side services will be conducted by the Masonic Lodge in the City cemetery. Seydler Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Cady was born on February 7, 1892, in Caldwell county, to Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Cady, natives of that county. For a time he was a barber in this city, later moving to Harlingen and Kingsville. He served in the United States Navy for two years during World War I. Survivors include his wife, the former Ruby Deere, and seven sisters.
