Marriage Gonzales Inquirer May 26, 1906 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Jan. 2, 1953 pg 1 Hold Last Rites For Charles Graves Funeral services were held from the First Baptist church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock for Charles Graves, who died at his home on North College street Thursday, Jan. 1, at 3 p.m., following an illness of seven years, three of which had been spent as an invalid. The Rev. Claude F. O'Neall, pastor of the Waelder Baptist church, and C. L. Maxwell, minister of the local church of Christ, were in charge of the last rites with interment following in the City cemetery. The deceased had been for many years one of the prominent barbers in the town prior to ill health which forced his retirement. He was married to the former Mae Cady, who survives him. Other survivors include a son, Drew of San Antonio, and a daughter, Beatrice of Houston; four grandchildren, Charles Hagen of the US Navy, Gene, Juanita and Diana Hagen; and a brother, John Graves of San Antonio.
