Bio

Herald Coaster, April 5, 1970: Funeral services for Paul Rudolph Zwahr, 60, of Needville, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, with the Rev. Kenneth Mikulik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Needville Chapel of Garmany & Co. after 2 p.m. Saturday. A service is set also for 8 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Zwahr died Friday morning in Methodist Hospital in Houston. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Zwahr; two sons, Lawrence Zwahr of Needville and Alphonse Zwahr of Fairchilds; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ann Bezecny of Rosenberg and Mrs. LaVerne Meyen of Needville; a brother, Otto Zwahr of Damon; seven sisters, Mrs. Lydia McCall and Mrs. Betty Wruck, both of Rosenberg, Mrs. Annie Kramer, Mrs. Sophie Raesner, and Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, all of Needville, Mrs. Hulda Zwahr of Damon, and Mrs. Fred Selzer of Oklahoma; and 16 grandchildren.
