Herald Coaster, April 14, 1967: Funeral services for Calvin Fred Zwahr, 37, of Rt. 1, Richmond, were to be held at 1:45 p.m. Friday in the Garmany and Co. Chapel in Needville and at 2 p.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church there. Burial was scheduled in St. Michael's Church Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Zwahr, a lifetime resident of Fort Bend County, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was employed at Gulf States Tube Corp. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janice Zwahr of Richmond; three sons, Calvin F. Zwahr Jr., Dale Allen Zwahr, and Glenn Charles Zwahr, all of Richmond; three daughters, Janet Lee Zwahr, Karen L. Zwahr, and Annette C. Zwahr, all of Richmond; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zwahr of Richmond; two brothers, Alphonse Zwahr of Richmond and Lawrence Zwahr of Needville; and two sisters, Mrs. LaVerne Meyer of Needville and Miss Mary Ann Zwahr of Houston.
