Herald Coaster, October 4, 1993: Funeral services for Elizabeth Miller, 89, of Guy, are scheduled 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. The Rev. George Kuebler will officiate, with burial at Immanuel Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Miller died Oct. 3 at SPJST Nursing Home in Needville. She was born Nov. 16, 1903 in Needville. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Evelyn and Charlie Gorka of Rosenberg; four sons and their wives, Irvin and Bernice Miller of Nederland, Paul and Martha Miller of Needville, Marvin and Joy Miller of Guy, and Eugene and Jill Miller of Guy; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Kramer and Sophie McDougle, both of Needville; a sister-in-law, Mary Zwahr of Fairchilds; and two brothers-in-law, Albert Zwahr of Damon and John Feldhoff of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1977, and by an infant daughter, Joyce, in 1939. Memorials may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Needville. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors in Needville.
