Texas Coaster, May 27, 1954: Mrs. Ella Feldhoff, age 42, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 1954, at Polly Ryon Hospital. She is survived by her husband, John Feldhoff, Needville; three sons, Ernest, of Rosenberg, Norman and Gerald, both of Needville; three grandchildren; ten sisters, Mrs. Freda Selzer, Lindsay, Okla., Mrs. Emma Poehls, Velasco, Mrs. Bertha Cerviere, McAllen, Mrs. Lydia McCall, LaMarque, Mrs. Agnes Carter, Port Arthur, Mrs. Billy Wruck, Rosenberg, Mrs. Annie Kramer, Needville, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, Guy, Mrs. Hulda Zwahr, Damon, and Mrs. Sophie Raesener, Needville; five brothers, Ernest Zwahr, Rosenberg, Otto Zwahr, Damon, Fred Zwahr, Richmond, John Zwahr, Needville, and Paul Zwahr, Richmond. Mrs. Feldhoff was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Zwahr Sr. of Needville. She was born at Needville, and lived all her life in that area. On September 18, 1928, she was married to John Feldhoff at Needville. Services were held from the Immanuel Evangelical Church in Needville Friday, May 21, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. W. E. Scholze officiating. Interment was in the Needville Public Cemetery. Arrangements by the Garmany-Janca Funeral Homes.
