Bio
Texas Coaster, December 13, 1918: On Saturday, December 7, at 3 a.m., the death angel called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schwettmann and took their beloved daughter to a home where no traveler returns. Miss Nellie was only 17 years of age, a flower that was beginning to bloom. She is survived by her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers, besides other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. We may all be comforted to know that Miss Nellie led a Christian life. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church. We know that her work on earth is done and she is through with the world's troubles, and she sleeps beneath the sod, and that her soul rests above with God. May God comfort the bereaved ones, for we know that death is the path we all must trod. She was buried Sunday, December 8, at 4 P. M. at the Needville Cemetery, services being held by Rev. Merkel.
